June 9: Importing Wine for Pleasure & Profit, Location t.b.a, Toronto ON. The purpose of this seminar is to provide interested individuals with detailed information about the business of importing wine (beers and spirits are also covered) in Canada. Provincial regulations make it quite simple to become a wine agent, and if Canadian consumers are to have access to more wines there is a requirement for more wine agents. June 17: Taste Washington Spokane 2007, Davenport Hotel, Spokane WA. Guests receive a Riedel wine glass to have in hand as they wind their way through this impressive regional tasting. Enticing food samples are integrated along the way. Local celebrity chefs will demonstrate their cooking skills; and back by popular demand is the Anthony's Fresh Seafood Bar and Washington White Out, a tasting bar featuring white wines that pair well with seafood and shellfish. A silent auction featuring Washington wine magnums and the Wheel of Wine adds excitement to the mix.
